Tribe HEART

Our students show HEART by displaying hard work, excellence in the classroom, having a positive attitude, respecting staff and their peers, and showing excellent team work. HEART is our way of practicing positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) on our campus. PBIS is a nationally recognized initiative to bring a positive change to school climate, including the way students interact with each other, their teachers, and their campus. Our team of teachers, administrators, classified staff members, and students selected HEART as our behavioral expectations.

HEART is:

  • Hard Work
  • Excellence
  • Attitude
  • Respect
  • Team Work

Behavior Matrix

Our tribe shows HEART in the classroom, around campus, and in their communities. We invite you to view our behavior matrix, which outlines suggested ways our tribe can display HEART on campus.

HEART Incentives

We recognize students when they display positive behaviors on campus. Any staff or faculty member can give a student a HEARTbeat using the SSICA app. We then frequently hold prize drawings where students can win various prizes, including Beats headphones, TV’s, and more as a reward for their HEARTbeats.

We are also working on a student store where students can exchange their HEARTbeats for fun items. Check back for more!
